Where is God?

I found this in my email today. I get bits from the Urantia Book everyday. I am often surprised by the profundity of the material. There is within us a watcher, inspirator, care taker. When you realize that the real you is not the body you inhabit, or even your everyday monkey mind, but the watcher within that knows who you are and what you are, and rejoices in your being. then you truly know God.

Is God in Man?

Unless a divine lover lived in man, he could not unselfishly and spiritually love. Unless an interpreter lived in the mind, man could not truly realize the unity of the universe. Unless an evaluator dwelt with man, he could not possibly appraise moral values and recognize spiritual meanings.

Father's Day

It's Father's Day, and it brings several things to mind. Number one, there are many fathers out there who have never had biological offspring. There are men who have raised step-children, foster children, nieces and nephews. Men who have acted as surrogate fathers have displayed the highest nobility. It is hard enough for a woman to love children who are not her own, but for a man, it must be even more difficult.

And let us not forget the single mothers, acting as mother and father. They ought also to be celebrated today. Let the spirit of Father's Day bless those who are not usually thought of as fathers. Fatherhood, after all, really means an attitude of caring and protection, not just the deposit of sperm by whatever method.

The Glory of Solitude

The family has gone for the weekend. My family consists of my daughter and her daughter. Since we live 100 miles from the nearest town, going shopping takes several days. This leaves me alone on the Reservation. And one can be truly ALONE here. It is when I am seemingly by myself, that I realize that we are never really solitary. We are all of the same mind and consciousness. But in the calm and peace of being the only person here in this house, I am able to connect with my inner spirit. And it is good just to eat when I want to, and to eat what I want to. It is good to sleep when I am sleepy, and to scratch when I itch.

Never consider yourself lonely, just be thankful for the peace. Never consider you have been deserted, because you never can be. The Divine is always there, part of you, and you are a hologram of Divinity. We are ONE.
